Chasing the light in the garden.

THAT

Don’t Throw It Out. Zady gives some fun tips to help you repair your old clothes.

I recently found out I like listening to radio programs/podcasts while I work and the only one I’ve been listening to so far is Grace Bonney’s After the Jump (recommendations are welcome!). I loved last week’s episode, where she talks about inspirations (and more) with Katie Deedy of Grow House Grow, so much that I listened to it twice in a row. I’m inspired by her process and love what she says about taking the extra steps. It also made me wonder, if I love stories so much (I do!), then why don’t I incorporate storytelling more in my work?

I’ve been watching more documentaries lately and I was extremely charmed and fascinated by The Magical Forest. The images are gorgeous (especially the snowshoe hare – a new favorite!), but the story is what really makes this a standout. SPOILER ALERT: the forest really is magical. I love it when real things are like magic. I will definitely watch it again.

When I sat down to write this post, I put on Johnny Flynn‘s first album, A Larum. It has been a while since I last listened to it, but I was again blown away by how good it is. His second album, Been Listening, is also great and when looking him up to link to his Wikipedia page, I found that he has a third album out, so I’m in for a treat.

Have a great weekend! Any fun plans? We have two parties to go to, one soccer game to watch and a mouldy wall to paint. One of these things is not as a fun as the others…
